PortSwigger

In 2021, Cyber Security company PortSwigger moved into their stunning new home. Situated in Booths Park, Cheshire and set within 220 acres of picturesque parkland, the new workspace area covers some 70,000 square meters. Prior to the move,  Sheila Bird Design Studio and Workspace Design & Build were appointed to create a contemporary and very distinctively designed workspace that reflected PortSwigger's values and workplace culture and the importance it placed on the good mental and physical health of it's employees.

The Interior Design colour scheme with it's uplifting sunny yellow tones and natural greens was intensified further by copious amounts of live Green infrastructure. And the sheer height of the open-plan collaborative workspace was perfect for tall plant clusters so Kentia Palm, Ficus Lyrata and Strelitzias, (some measuring 2.2m) were used to great effect. The plant containers were kept simple and low-key so as not to detract from the statuesque beauty of the plants.

In the staff restaurant area (where staff can enjoy free healthy food), a real 'wow factor' was achieved via the floor to ceiling open-plan framework designed to both define space and hold hanging plants.

Just two species of plants were used; Aeschynanthus and Hoya in graphite hanging-rope containers creating an appealing plant-pattern repetition.

Our Plant Technicians will now make regular maintenance visits to PortSwigger to ensure that all the plants stay healthy.

With numerous hot-desk/break out areas, plants are never far from the eye.

There is also a choice of sitting or standing desks and staff can even choose to work on treadmills - now that's a healthy workplace!
