Live & Artificial Plants
San Carlo Alderley Edge
Working with San Carlo Restaurant Group at their brand new Alderley Edge location, our design brief was to take botanical inspiration from traditional Italian villa gardens and produce biophilic planting displays/installations which would evoke a distinctly Mediterranean feel
The plant varieties selected needed to not only be abundantly found in Italy and warmer climes but also for the plants located externally, have the ability to withstand unpredictable British weather
Plants in Hospitality
Our planting displays blended beautiful mainly live and artificial plant/foliage varieties harmoniously to cover every corner of the opulent restaurant and contribute significantly to the Italian warmth and hospitality that San Carlo is renowned for
We also used plant containers from our new ‘Lava’ range in earthy colours and volcanic textured glazed finish along with two specifically sourced aged terracotta urns flanking either side of the stunning brand new feature fireplace
Biophilic Design
All the live and artificial plants used throughout the project are likely to be found in or take influence from Italy. These included replica Geranium and Ivy to dress a wood pergola with coverage up to 80sqm and nine Chamaerops trees also known as Mediterranean Fan Palms, standing almost 3m tall located to the front of the restaurant
It was a joy to work with San Carlo once again and even more so, on a project so local to our HQ.
Our thanks to San Carlo for sharing these stunning images with us too.
