Commencing our journey to net zero

We’ve been successfully trading in business for 50 years, realising our client’s biophilic visions.

Furthermore, our research into and delivery of science based green infrastructure has led to us tasking our in-house research team; how can we make I Want Plants Limited a net zero carbon company?

We are already excellent at recycling and donating plants to charities to minimise waste but two of the main factors expending carbon in our industry are energy usage & fuel.

So after months of evaluating our operational systems, we will now install 62 solar panels and advanced battery storage units, to meet power demands with minimal negative impact. And when a top-up power-spike is required, this too will come from renewable energy.

Our fleet management procedures are also constantly assessed and we are currently trialling the use of bikes for our plant aftercare technicians to travel on when their work is concentrated within a main city hub.

Since we’re already pushing boundaries for Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) output via HYVERT.ai it makes perfect sense to invest further and become one of the ‘cleanest carbon’ green infrastructure companies in the market.
