IWP Manchester Service Hub
Fittingly to coincide with National Clean Air Day on 19.06.25, we have some exciting news to share…
There’s a dis-used rail archway in the centre of Manchester that’s undergone a major glow-up!
Viewed from the exterior, there’s no mistaking that this new site belongs to I Want Plants – our bold branding is unmissable but it’s not a showroom – it’s simply not possible to showcase the vast and incredible range of plants that we’re able to supply.
However, internally, there’s everything our hardworking aftercare technicians need to make them even more efficient in their daily job. It will also enable us to react with greater speed when we receive any new requests from our clients.
Having already commenced our net zero journey, we know that two of the main factors producing carbon in our industry are energy usage & fuel, traffic congestion within cities is still a major cause of air pollution.
We constantly assess our fleet management procedures and our whole vehicle fleet is less than three years old, regularly serviced and uses AdBlue solution to minimise nitrogen-oxide (NOx) emissions.
And since a high proportion of our plant aftercare servicing is concentrated within the city centre, it makes perfect sense to develop a local service hub to enable our team to work smarter, expending less carbon due to being conveniently located nearby.
We’re proud to pilot this carbon reducing plant service in our home city of Manchester with our vision being to roll out the concept into other major cities in which we operate.
