We adore design briefs that blend live and artificial planting schemes and this past Custom Installations project within one of Manchester’s favourite hospitality hot spots, Grand Pacific, gave us the perfect opportunity.
Working with well respected, Interior Designer, Michelle Derbyshire on behalf of Client, Living Ventures the brief was to ensure the space emanated opulence and grandeur, a hark back to ‘a golden age of high society’, since the building itself is located within Manchester’s original financial district.
Thanks to the stunning architecture of the building and it’s Period high ceilings, the plants and trees we installed needed to reflect it’s ‘grandeur’!
Rusty Urns planted with giant live Kentia Palms, flanked either side of the cocktail bar.
A matching pair of statue-esque, super bushy live banana plants standing some 2.8m tall, framed an archway leading into a further dining space.
Oh hello….. beautiful artificial peacocks formed the influence for our next biophilic enhancements…..
A chandelier of ‘birdcage’ lighting, dressed with trailing artificial Ivy.
And amidst the live planting scheme, sat some very convincing, voluminous artificial Boston Ferns in wicker baskets.
