Unicorn Roof
HYVERT surface
In Spring 2024, we installed our 'HYVERT surface' living green roof, upon the roof of Unicorn Grocery in Chorlton, Manchester
Having already previously installed a HYVERT living wall for Unicorn Grocery, their green/environmentally friendly credentials were the perfect fit for HYVERT Surface too.

unique composition
Unlike the more usually found sedum green roofs, HYVERT surface has been carefully designed with unique pockets of wildflowers and shrubs which makes the roof more aesthetically pleasing whilst also boosting biodiversity and rainwater attenuation.
The wildflowers (sustainably sourced and native to the North West) have been grown from seed at our commercial nursery HQ and are planted into two different mixtures containing 100% recycled soil medium all within Greater Manchester.
These different soil types help encourage a wider range of wildflowers and insects to thrive.
Using local recycled materials, supports local businesses and reduces our carbon emissions - including our HYVERT modules and blades which themselves are manufactured from recycled car battery casings.
